- 236.59 ml water, warm
- 14.79 ml water, warm
- 1 egg
- 22.18 ml safflower oil or 22.18 ml vegetable oil
- 532.32 ml whole wheat flour
- 236.59 ml all-purpose flour
- 19.71 ml wheat gluten
- 118.29 ml sugar
- 7.39 ml salt
- 11.09 ml active dry yeast
- 59.14 ml butter, melted (optional)
- 29.58 ml shortening, can use butter (optional)
directions
- Put first 10 ingredients in bread machine pan in order suggested by manufacturer.
- Turn on dough setting and let process until done.
- Lightly grease a 9x13 pan. (Note: I use stoneware and never grease it at all with no problems.).
- Shape dough into 15 uniformly shaped balls. (Use shortening or butter to grease hands for shaping.).
- Cover and set in a warm area to rise until doubled. Can put in warm oven on lowest setting to help with rising. Just make sure you don't cook them till they've risen.
- Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
- When done brush tops with melted butter before serving.
