These cookies are the best I have made and my office loved them. They asked for the recipe as well so they can make them for their friends and family. They are very addictive and my co-workers cleaned out the whole batch in less than 2 hours. They keep asking me to make more and when will I bring them in! Great cookies! Now I have too many friends!

Its my first time to make Choco Chip Cookies and I wasn't satisfied with the cookies that came up. They were'nt chewy, as said, and it didn't taste great. Well, I forgot to put salt, did it really change the taste of the whole thing? Or maybe its just my lack of experience in baking.

Great Recipe. I especially like that oil was used instead of butter. I used sunflower oil. The cookies were delicious, and I will make them again! Even my mother liked them and she does not even like chocolate chip cookies =)

Excellent cookies! I have to admit, I only use butter in cookies, so my expectations were not very high with this recipe. However, they are really, really good...tender without being cakey, slightly crisp on the outside. They stay pliable when cool, unlike Toll House which seem to turn to crisp little hockey pucks. The tops get a bit crinkley and the cookies are very attractive. As an added bonus, lots healthier than my regular butter version. I was a skeptic, but we'll be having these again and again! Thanks for posting!!UPDATE: The last time I made these I used 2 c whole wheat pastry flour and 1 1/2 c unbleached to make it a little healthier and it worked really well. We still ate them by the handful! Great recipe! Thanks!

Good cookies! Made them on cookie sheets. The texture wasn't quite to our taste; I think that if someone was searching for a really chewy cookie, they would love these. They make very pretty cookies, too. ..Good advice on overbaking - I had a couple get a little brown on top, and they were hard after cooling. Definitely take them out when they're still pale. Thanks very much for sharing!

These cookies are sooo incredible! They are absolutely the most perfect, soft chocolate chip cookie I have ever made! I made them on a regular cookie sheet and even used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and they still turned out perfect. Also, I had to leave them in the oven for a little longer than the recipe said - about 10-12 mins. Make these!!! You'll love them!!!

These were really good. I used whole wheat pastry flour and sucanat for the brown sugar. Also, I had mini chips and M&Ms, and used those instead of regular chips, and they were great. Mine came out crispy, though, but I think I cooked them too long--but I like my cookies crispy. Thanks for the butter-free recipe!

These cookies do retain their shape and are soft and chewy. We found them rather bland compared to other chocolate chip cookies we've had that were made with real butter. For those on a lactose-free diet though, these would be great.

My search has ended!! Thank you so much, luvfood. Chocolate chip is my husband's favorite. For the last 7 years I have tried to find a recipe for choc. chip cookies that stay soft, but don't spread out thin. This is it! These are just wonderful. Followed the recipe exactly. Mine took 11-12 minutes on cookie sheets.

Oh Wow. I have been trying to find a good Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and this is it. Tasty, soft and chewy, and completely decadent, especially warm.

Lovely chewy cookies. I had run out of chocolate chips, so I used broken up dark cooking chocolate, which worked really well as some of the chunks were extra nice and big. Great cookie, thanks for sharing.

These were excellent! I used a cookie sheet and had great results. The one tray I did with the pizza stone puffed up in the center, did not have flat bottoms, and sunk into my racks. My only modification was to use a cup of butterscotch chips instead of nuts and they were terrific. My son is on a special gluten free dairy free diet so this recipe is perfect since it is already dairy free. Next time I try it I'll use GF flour and hopefully I'll get equally good results!

These cookies are great! I made them with my 4 year-old grandson. He even broke the eggs, well... two of them. The cookies were heavenly. Soft and gooey.... And they stayed soft. Mmmmm.
