Good Heavens!!!! What started out to be the cake from H*** turned out to be HEAVENLY!! To start out my bundt pan walked off and so I used an angelfood cake pan..heavily greased and floured. Second the strawberry ice cream I had ran away with the bundt pan (I hope they are happy together)so I subbed vanilla and added 1/2 cup homemade strawberry puree, slightly chunky. Worked like a charm! I had no berry liquor so I used 1 TBS milk, 1 TBS strawberry liquid drained from the puree and 1 tsp vanilla extract. OMG this is so moist and rich that we almost made ourselves sick. Thanx Rita this was so simple and oh so good!!!!

I'm sorry. I was kind of disappointed. The cake had no strawberry flavor to it -- and I did use expensive strawberry ice cream. I did add 1 tsp. almond extract, and that was all I could taste. It basically tasted like a moist white box cake with pink cream cheese frosting. I won't make this again.

This cake is a slice of strawberry heaven! It had the perfect strawberry flavor and was so moist. Who would have thought a box cake mix and ice cream would make such a delicious cake? Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!

This is an excellent recipe for a fast strawberry cake. Who doesn't love cake & ice cream? =) I like the cake doctor style cakes where you add a little something to a cake mix to make it special. This cake is definitely a slice of springtime and very tasty. If I were trying to keep this very long though, I would hold off in garnishing with the fresh strawberries. Thanks Rita for sharing your recipe!

MMMMM....I couldnt stop licking the spoon! This was a great taste of strawberry for a cake, not as overwhelming as the bright pink boxed cakes. The frosting was perfect, fluffy and had just enough flavor. I should have asked if it was ok to use 2 round pans instead of the bundt pan but I didn't and my punishment was not enough frosting for the middle, so next time if I use the rounds, I will double the frosting. This is a delicious cake, Thanks Rita!
