I'm sorry, I cannot give an honest review of this recipe. Recipezaar is a G-rated site and there are children here, and to give an absolute honest review would land me in violation of the Terms of Service. Let's just say there's a certain scene from When Harry Met Sally that adequately portrays my reaction to eating these amazing cookies. 'Nuff said.

This is my husband's most favorite cookie. At first the dough seemed too thin to hold a cookie shape but it did. After the first batch of cookies came out of the oven, the dough had stiffened up a little and they were easier to drop on the cookie sheet. My cookies were definitely more puffy than the ones in the photos. I followed the directions exactly and got about 20 cookies, as stated.

If it were up to me only, I would give these 5+ stars, but I did survey my family, so it averaged out among 4 people to 4 stars. These are INTENSELY chocolate and the texture is brownie-like. I chopped the nuts smallish. These were heaven to me. Heaven. For my hubby, they were too chocolaty (AS IF). Also, he thought that the brownie-like-ness was a negative for cookies. He wanted something more cookie-like (I guess crisper or crunchier?) And for my older daughter, she's not big on nuts. But if you think there is no such thing as too much chocolate and chocolate with choc chips is a big plus, and brownie-like is good, then these are definitely for you. I suppose you could always leave the nuts out if you don't care for nuts. I will definitely make these again. I think they are a good special occasion cookie for cookie trays and parties and such.

Adopt an Orphan Game ~ OMG!! I have to agree with Mirj 100%! These are chocolate lovers Heaven!! I can't believe that the person who adopted these in the previous game never made them...they don't know what they missed. I made these pretty big, about 3-4 inches across, so only came out with 13 of them. Very rich and moist. Thank you again Sharon for another great recipe!
