    Directions:

    1. 1
      Cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar; add almond extract. Stir in flour, salt, and walnuts.
    2. 2
      Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

      Bake in a preheated 400° oven until set but not brown (about 10 minutes.

      Roll cookies in powdered sugar while warm and again when they've cooled.
