Quick and Easy Ice Cream Pie

"This is a great dessert that can be made while dinner is cooking or the night before a party. Make extras, goes fast!!"

 

• Ready In: 5mins
• Ingredients: 5
• Yields: 1 pie

ingredients

• 1 9-inch Oreo cookie pie crust
• 1892.5 ml ice cream (I like cookies 'n cream the best)
• squeezable chocolate syrup
• squeezable caramel ice cream topping (smuckers makes good ones)
• crushed Heath candy bars (for topping) or crushed Skor candy bar (for topping)

directions

1. let ice cream soften slightly .
2. spread evenly in pie crust.
3. squeeze chocolate syrup over pie in a criss-cross motion .
4. do the same with the caramel syrup in oppostie direction .
5. sprinkle top of pie with the crushed candy topping .
6. freeze until ready to serve .
7. any combination of ice cream and toppings works wonderfully, this just happens to be my favorite combination !

Wow! What a great idea for a simple but delicious dessert! I crumbled Butterfingers on top because I could not find Heath or Skor in the checkout aisle and didn't feel like trudging through the grocery store again, but it turned out to be scrumptious! I served it at a dinner party on Sunday and my boyfriend was already begging me to make it again on Monday! haha :)

Really good around the holidays with chocolate crumb crust (store bought) peppermint ice cream and hot fudge sauce poured over individual slices. Crushed candy canes for garnish makes it perfect. So easy and really delicious!

Such a great and easy recipe! And the best thing about it is there are so many options! Just looking at the ice cream selection my husband and I were going crazy, we opted for pet crust with moose tracks ice cream. Everyone loved it, we're thinking of making one with mint chocolate chip next time for my sister's birthday--mint is her obsession. Thank you for the recipe!

Haven't made it yet. can one use pre-made pie crust if one doesn't have time to make their own?? I am going to try strawberry :)
