Chippie (the chocolate lab) would like to give this recipe 20 stars if it was possible. Buttons, (Chippie's cousin & a rat terrier) called in her vote last night for another 20 stars after one of her owners was visiting yesterday and I sent some home with him to see if she liked them. She did and requested a basket of them for her Xmas present from the human relatives :) My lab enjoyed these so much that I had to make 3 batches total! In the first batch, I made as directed and baked the squished balls BUT for the other 2 batches, I rolled the dough to the same thickness and used "dog bone" cookie cutters. Will post a pic of both results, if the lab doesn't eat them all! A real winner here coming from the canine prospective :)

Hi SCRUFFERS...made your doggie biscuits for my little poodle...he just loved them (so it seems), well he is very fussy, and doesn't like many things, but he sure enjoyed these.. He thanks you and so do I for a wonderful treat..The only thing I added was a little brown sugar, cause he has a bit of a sweet tooth. Great doggie recipe...I will make these again soon....Thanx :-)

Easy to make, my little one used her play dough cutters to make treats for the neighborhood dogs. After baking for the stated times, I just left them in the oven overnight to finish drying. Next time I will use powdered milk, but everything else will stay the same. Thank you for sharing!

5 stars from the dog but 0 stars from our DS. lol Our DS made these 2 years ago for 4-H and received a Blue Ribbon on them. He really did eat part of one and said it was pretty bland. When the 4-H judge saw his picture with the dog treat in his mouth she asked him how they taste. He just told her he'd not recommend them to humans. He was 9 or 10 when he made these and this was an easy recipe for him to make. Thanks Scruffers, we had fun!

I made these earlier today and Scruffy and Peaches went wild for them. I added quite a bit of peanut butter, didn't bother measuring it.I will be making more soon, they won't leave me alone- lol
