Peanut Butter Blondies

"Delicious double-peanut butter "brownies" with chocolate frosting... just divine! From Taste of Home magazine. I cheated and used prepared frosting instead of the recipe because I was running out of time. They tasted fantastic anyway."

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the peanut butter, butter and sugars. Beat in eggs an vanilla.
  • Combine the flour and baking powder, and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in chips.
  • Spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 in baking pan. Bake at 325 for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
  • For the frosting, in a small mixing bowl combine butter, cocoa, milk, corn syrup and vanilla. Gradually add confectioners' sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Frost brownies and sprinkle with chips. Cut into bars.
