No Fail Brownies

"Rich and fudgy and so easy to make. We love these brownies. You can throw in chocolate chips or swirl caramel or peanut butter in them. You can't go wrong with this recipe."

  1. My family loves these. Fudgy and chewy and so easy to make. I made a big batch for the school Macmillan Coffee Morning and they all went down a treat, with many of the other mothers asking for the recipe.

  2. These were terrible! Thin, dry, not even good flavour. I have no idea how they got good reviews. I was looking for chewy and dense and sweet and rich...these were definitely not that. A disappointing waste of ingredients...even putting ice cream on them didn't really help.

  3. Incredibly quick, easy, and inexpensive. I need recipes with these qualities when I have to send cookies to a school event, or bring a dessert to a shared meal on a moment's notice, so I'll make them again. And there'll be someone in every crowd who loves them. But they aren't what I like in a dessert. Over-the-top sweet (my son took one bite and refused to eat more). And for myself, if I'm going to take in dessert calories, I want all the goodness of butter.

  4. I love these brownies and so does everyone else! Thanks for sharing.

  5. Wow this was great! Moist and fudgy, just the way we like it. :)

Tweaks

  1. These were very good. I have made them 3x's. I added choc. chips instead of the nuts 1st time. The next time Ande's mints and the last time I added peanut butter chips. Great!! Not bitter. Fudgy and moist when not baked too long.

I was born in Newfoundland, Canada. I grew up watching my grandmother bake bread and knit. <br>I now live in a friendly little town on the coast of North Carolina. I love to bake, especially bread and desserts. I also love to knit, especially socks, just like my grandmother. I am the co-owner of a yarn shop in our little town. When I'm not working in the shop I am usually at home in the kitchen!
