I found this recipe on a library bookmark (believe it or not) and decided to try it out--the result was delicious! If you love the words chocolatey, peanut buttery, sweet and addictive, you'll love these cookies.
- combine butter, sugar, cocoa, salt, milk, and vanilla in a saucepan and cook for 5 minutes.
- stir in peanut butter.
- remove from heat and add quick oats; mix well.
- drop from a teaspoon onto wax paper; let cool.
This is a good recipe for this type of cookie. They are easy to make and taste precisely the way this cookie should. They are very sweet so a few go a long way. They would also be good made with cornflakes. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Excellent No-Bake cookies. Loved the extra coco in these. They went together so easily. I used honey roast crunchy peanut butter that I think added a lot of flavor. I used 1/2 sugar and 1/2 brown sugar and 2% milk as well as Smart Balance butter to help with the calories. I'll absolutely make these again. My Grandkids will love these. Thanks for sharing.
I made these to satisfy a sweet craving. I needed something sweet and I needed it NOW! I made these, changing the serving size the ten and they turned out great. Here are the things I like about these cookies: They are quick and easy. I didn't even dirty any measuring cups, I just eyeballed everything. They contain oats, a healthful ingredient, so you can feel better about eating sweeties. And of course, they taste good. I also used old fashioned oats, and they were perfectly good, especially the next day. This is the perfect recipe when you find out need to bring some kind of snack to a get together on short notice. I had everything I needed in the kitchen already without having to make a trip to the store. I am sure I will make these again. Thanks for sharing!
