These are yummy! I also used light corn syrup, not knowing what white syrup is. And I made individual bites by using a mini muffin tin with liners. When I added the chocolate/pb to the top, I also added an m&m to each one. The oatmeal texture was not my DD's favorite, but DH said they're "good" and ate 4! - Just changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 - they are even tastier the next day after being in the fridge overnight. I can't stop eating them!

This recipe is so easy to make! I used dark chocolate chips. I also used white chips with the peanut butter and just plain old peanut butter chips. Any way you make it still comes out delicious! Thank littleturtle for such a great recipe! I plan to take these on our long trip for a great snack! I baked mine for 30 minutes.

These tasted fab - but a bit hard to serve elegantly - mine were a bit all over the place. But this did not alter taste and they were consumed with gusto by all. I was unsure what white syrup was and used Caro corn syrup and I really like the saltiness of the peanut butter with the sweetness of the base - there will be requests to do these again so thanks to littleturtle.

I made these following the microwave directions! They are delicious. They do need to stay refrigerated to maintain "stick-togetherness" but are yummy cold so that is not a problem!

These are quite addicting! I took the previous reviewer's idea and used maple syrup instead of white syrup and added some vanilla. Actaully, now that I think about it, I forgot the egg! The crust was baked for 17 minutes (just for good measure :)). Used Ghirardelli's Bittersweet choc. chips and the p.b. and choc. chip combo is to die for! Thanks for such an easy, delicious dessert. Can see making this for pot lucks.

These are amazing! I used maple syrup and added more to the oatmeal mixture until it was quite moist. Baked for 15 min. Used smooth p/b as it was all I had, but added some crushed Skor bars. Gave them to my husband to take to work for his birthday and he said they were gone right away! Have made them several times since. Thanks so much!!

I had to give this 3 stars to compromise. I liked these bars because they weren't too sweet but my husband disliked them. He said the oatmeal layer was much too bland and he didn't like the texture. My kids liked them too but they'll eat anything topped with chocolate, LOL! :-) I baked them in the oven but 15 minutes weren't enough. If I do make them again I'll bake them longer.
