  1. Easy, fairly quick and foolproof. Tastes like maple sugar candy... in a yummy easy to eat bite! I made these for a party and all the men devoured them. I'd like to figure out a fun & pretty way to garnish them... perhaps a sprinkle of brown sugar?

  2. This recipe reminded me of my aunt's recipe : recipe#242380 It's so easy to do and delicious. The same taste. I omitted the nuts cause I prefer it without. Thanks Evelyn :) Made for 123 hit wonders.

  3. Very tasty sweet treat, Ev. I picked this for the Canada ZWT photo challenge because the butter tart is uniquely Canadian & this 1 uses maple syrup as an ingredient. My DH was even able to find REAL Canadian maple syrup for me to use. I made 3 diff variations - the tart shell to reflect the recipe as written, my ramekin version & a larger one I made as a pie because I don't have a tart pan. I made a dbl recipe so I'd have enough filling for all 3 & was a little uneasy about the prep using so much cornstarch all at once, but it worked easily. Pics will be posted when I sort out the best of the lot. Thx for posting.

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
