i really liked this pie. DD said it was good but she didn't like the way it looked (the brown sugar).Didn't stop her from having seconds.

My family finished off this pie in two days. I also added about 1/2 cup (or a little more) coconut to the batter and as if it weren't sweet enough, I served it topped with Cool Whip. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Oh, gosh. This is WONDERFUL. I would definitely not recommend leaving out the coconut, as it's really what makes this dessert. I used some sweetened, shredded and toasted fresh coconut for the topping and mixed about a half of a cup of sweetened shredded store-bought coconut into the batter. Honestly, this is way too easy and way too scrumptious NOT to make again. Thanks so much!

i did not add the coconut, but will the next time and add it to the batter. the caramel custard was delicious, but it did need the coconut in the batter for added flavor and texture. i will re-review it.

This was really good. I added a cup of cocunut into the custard like one of the other reviewers did, and it was perfect. I will definitely make this again.

I followed Kelbel's review in that I added 1 c. of coconut to the batter and then an additional 1/2 c. of coconut on the top. In addition, I added 1 tsp. of coconut extract (yes, I REALLY like coconut). This was so simple to throw together and the creamy custardy and extreme coconutty nature of the pie was great. It was delicious both warm and cold. Thanks for a nice recipe.

I love coconut and caramel, so I was excited about this dessert. It was good, but not enought coconut. Coconut is in the title, but then it is optional in the recipe. I doubled the coconut, but would have like to have it go throughout the pie, so when I make it again, I will mix the coconut in instead of just sprinkling it on top.

I loved the flavor of this pie. DH took one look at it, smelled it and asked me if I was making dessert for me too. (like he wasn't going to share it) lol It's a good recipe. I love the crunch topping. Thanks for this different version of my of my already favorite pies.

This was very good Marie! I made a copycat Bisquick mix and followed the rest of the instructions. Very simple to put together and all of us loved it. Thanks for a keeper! :) Happy 50 years btw! to you both (you and your DH) Congratulations! Take care. :D Fay
