Condensed Milk Red Velvet Poke Cake

"From my test kitchen. Less ingredients than some red velvet cake recipes call for, an inexpensive, yummy and moist version. Perfect if it's your first time trying the red velvet cake."

Questions & Replies

  1. In the cake part of the recipe it says 14 oz can condensed milk. Is that evaporated milk or sweetened condensed milk? Sorry, but it plainly says sweetened condensed milk in the frosting recipe so wanted to make sure I got the correct ingredients.

Reviews

  1. I am torn on this review. 5 stars for the cake DEFINITELY! Next time I would probably omit the Coke or half it. The sweetened condensed milk poured over it was genius and reminded me of a Tres Leches cake. The icing I'd have to rate 3 stars. Too rich and thick. Tasty though but next time Ill just buy a thing of cream cheese frosting and to be honest, this cake is SO good it doesnt really even need any frosting!:) Thanks!!!

  2. Thanks for another great recipe.
