These cookies are something to sing about!! I made these for both of my DS's choir parties. The kids (all 59 of them)loved them! Not only are they delicious - the dough is so easy to work with too. I added the baking soda with the flour mixture and the vanilla with the egg (didn't see them in the instructions) and that worked out well. A "musical" note of thanks from the Fort Wayne Children's Choir and the Concordia Lutheran Chamber Choir.

I made these for Christmas, they were a hit. I will be making them every Christmas now, Everyone loved them. They will now become a christmas tradition. I added an extra 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. It made them exceptionally delicious. I've made 3 batches of these, the best one is with the extra cinnamon.

Living in the south we are very lucky to have an abundance of fresh seafood and other ingredients at our disposal when trying new recipes. My husband and I both love to cook and have learned a lot about cooking from our native Louisianian, Paul Prudhomme (we learned to be very careful with his recipes as they are very spicy - even for us), native New Orleanian, Frank Davis and transplanted Emeril Lagasse. It would be very difficult to pick an all time favorite cookbook since I have approximately 200. I enjoy collecting local cookbooks as well as others from different areas. This picture is obviously when DH and I got married. I cooked all the food and even made my wedding cake.
