    Luby Luby Luby's Note:

This recipe belongs to a very dear friend who was kind enough to share it with me. When her husband was stationed in Lafayette we would get together and bake these cookies at Christmas. It always brings back memories when I make them. I now use this recipe to make "cookie bouquets." When using for a cookie bouquet roll the cookie a little thicker and press lollipop stick into cookie after you have placed on cookie sheet.

These cookies are out of this world!!! The simple addition of cinnamon (compared to other suger cookies) is fabulous. I made these along with a yummy EASY frosting #99708. My daughter and her dance class loved them and wanted more! Thank you, and your friend, for sharing this recipe!!

These cookies are something to sing about!! I made these for both of my DS's choir parties. The kids (all 59 of them)loved them! Not only are they delicious - the dough is so easy to work with too. I added the baking soda with the flour mixture and the vanilla with the egg (didn't see them in the instructions) and that worked out well. A "musical" note of thanks from the Fort Wayne Children's Choir and the Concordia Lutheran Chamber Choir.
