  • Combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup margarine.
  • Add boiling water, stirring until thickened.
  • Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and rest of butter. Add flour, cinnamon and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool.
  • Frosting:.
  • Cream butter. Combine cocoa, sugar, and cinnamon. Add to butter with milk. Beat well. Add vanilla; mix well. Spread over brownies.

  2. I asked my step-daughter how many satrs to give this recipe. I think she said five, but her mouth was so full of brownie I"m not sure! These were terrific and will definitely be made again and again and again around here.
