This is my kind of cookie/bar recipe!! Quick, easy, and spectacular!! I have definitely added these to my make again file! Now, this time, I used pecans instead of walnuts, because my pecan jar was full, and my walnut jar was empty, and I was feeling too lazy to go dig through the pantry to find a bag of walnuts. Thanks so much, Shannon, for posting this divine recipe! Made for 1-2-3 Hits Tag.

I snuck one of these out of the pan after it cooled for about 10 minutes. It was ooey and gooey and oh so good! This is one of the simplest bar recipes you could ask for - great for a beginner cook. My kids don't like walnuts so after adding the chocolate chips I divided the dough and put walnuts in half of it, then layered in the pan and proceeded with the recipe. Excellent Shannon, thx for sharing! Made for Snow Queen Comfort Cafe 2010.

Hi! I live in BC, Canada. I am a mommy to Jacob and a wife to Rich. I love that I can stay at home and take care of our house and child, what a blessing! I enjoy cooking (ahem, tagging recipes), photography (usually family, food and scenery - the people on this website have taught me so much!), playing the trumpet, walking and apparently doing laundry - as I do it so often, I must enjoy it.
