This is a recipe we got from a good friend. This is a delicious treat.
Directions:

Bring raisins and water to a boil.

Simmer for a few minutes.

Let cool.

Blend together Crisco and sugar.

Add baking soda and spices.

Beat in eggs.

Add raisin mixture and flour alternately.
8
Bake in 2 greased 9" loaf pans at 350 for 1 hour.
